Lockworks is the latest addition to the Toolstation and Travis Perkins portfolio. This bespoke ‘brand from scratch’ was created to unlock the full potential of the ironmongery category.
Tasked with developing a new identity for Toolstation’s ironmongery range, we set out to create a brand that would inspire trust, instil confidence and convey reliability. It needed to have standout in the Toolstation catalogue and in-store at Travis Perkins, with sustainable, practical packaging that clearly communicated product details.
Solution
The result is a bold, no-nonsense brand identity, with strong typography and a distinctive colour palette. Vibrant blue and orange creates standout in-store and online, confidently signalling the brand’s purpose.
The packaging breaks new ground in the category, combining clearly labelled recyclable bags and cartons with clean, rendered visuals and precise technical drawings. From strategy to shelf, Lockworks is a prime example of how we create new brands to unlock business growth.
